Checking which diff is which

I did exactly the same thing last week mate with a car that supposedly had an LSD, if you turn the prop shaft and see anything like the pic below, its an LSD. There is another way involving turing wheels and other wheels turning or not turning lol, I cant remember which.

Might have to split my diff then.

 

If I turn one wheel the other spins in the opposite direction....

If it were a none OE plate type diff both wheels would turn in the same direction, if the rear was jacked up, and you rotated one wheel, with the gearbox in neutral. With the pretty useless stock torsen LSD, or an open diff, this is not a true test. You need to whip the cover off the diff assembly and look inside, or use an endoscope.
