i have £6000 saved up and ready to spend on my supra

my poor supra has sadly taken a backseat over the past year, due to me loosing some very important people, and thanks to some jealous people its picked up some war wounds

anyone got any ideas or tips for:

mainly body work

and some engine

What spec is your car currently ?

its an N/A import, manual tho

stock kit

sort the damage out get the car looking nice then use that as a template for the extras..

you don't wanna spend ££ on little extras until your happy with the rest

I can't sell it, my dad the sadly lost his battle in April helped me find my manual and also stole my car a few times so it's means a lot more then it should

Pictures and a current spec list would help;

Brakes

Suspension

Servicing

Tyres

Wheels

Interior

Just a starting point mate We all know these sometimes mean more than they should! If you are intent on keeping it, what sort of use did you have in mind? Road? Track? Show?

Get the bodywork sorted and drop a TT in it. Should even have enough left over to BPU it but make sure the box is ok first.

As you have reason to keep it

Bodywork sounds like your not happy with, so get some quotes to get that sorted first

Just remember if odd panels need spraying, it is ridiculously hard to Colour match Silver, get a guarantee in writing for the colour match being spot on in outside daylight

If you have a lot of paint issues, maybe better to spend a large chunk on a full respray

Then you might just have enough left for a TT transplant, but you will need to get on Keron's waiting list for that, so you will have time to save up a bit more for the Extra's....Clutch and BPU upgrades

This is all assuming you don't need the consumables sorting, Suspension components, Tyres, Interior etc etc

Another thing to consider if you have never had it done, is a proper Full Geo setup done, can transform the handling if needed

Looks nice, a good service is the best place to start. See what's up with it and go from there. If the bodywork is an issue look into the plasti-dip stuff, it's a clever way of changing the colour.

Sell it and add to the 6k fund, there are some great cars up for grabs for that amount unless you wanted to build/create your own.

If you must keep the car, I'd go for a VVTi 1JZ and v161 conversion. Spend the rest of the money tidying it up.

do you need it to be faster or do you want it look different or ridedifferent? all depends what you want from the car

Sorry to hear of your loss, but never get emotional about cars. Next thing is you'll be saying you're emotional about a girl and getting married 6K is a lot to spend on an N/A when it would buy a stunning TT.
