JDM CAT overhat warning

Hi guys, Just coming to the end of my NA-T build and reconnected the battery to find i now have a cat overheat warning.

Annoyingly due to some very rusted bolts and lack of space to get under the car i had to cut the sensor when i removed the original exhaust, since then the sensor as been rewired but i am still showing an overheat warning.

Do i have to reset something somewhere to remove it? i havent checked the diagnostic codes yet as the battery is off and on whilst the emanage has been going in.

Lastly if i simply removed the bulb/wire from the dash would this have any adverse effects on the ECU? assuming the plan above does not give the desired results.

Thanks again
