Right I'm giving in to demand and putting up a thread about my project :) a lot has been going on over the last couple years as I do all the work myself and need to skrimp and save to afford it all ;)

It will be more of a catchup thread at first ;)

 

The shell spec is thus

 

Uk spec Hauser built Rd legal supra

 

Lexan Glass in doors and rear

 

Electric driver and passenger windows

 

Head and tail lights, door handles. interior and wing mirrors

 

Rear Brakes inc internal handbrake.

 

Rear "Pro Tech" adjustable drag/road shocks

 

Front Platform adjustables

 

Ford 9" Strange engineering Street Spool and Gears inc 33 spline shafts and bearings

 

HRC 8.5 second bracket Spec 18 point roll cage, 4 link and rear clip

 

14x15 Weld racing rear wheels with 31x14.5x15 slicks and Sportsman Pro Block treads road legal 18.5" wide tyres.

 

Heavy duty chrome molly prop shaft designed to link to a power glide which is being built at the moment

 

Prop Hoop,

 

Hurst Quick shifter inc cable and line lock button.

 

Strange engineering Master cylinder all fabricated to stock brake pedal.

 

The boot and doors are one off custom very lightweight GRP

 

Smoothed and deleted boot brake light, fuel filler cap and aeriel. Rear arches Rolled on the inside

 

The sideskirts are fully moulded Carbon TRD style and painted to match.

 

The bonnet is TRD carbon but has been painted to match the car in House of kolor SBE Dodge Viper Blue. The paint was carried out by Carl Bibby, formerly of Bibby Bodysports (Chargespeed supra to name a few) fully painted inside and out.

1st Engine specs as follows :)

 

Na/T with Tt pistons, ffim, precision T67 water cooled DBB turbo, Hks wastegate, boostlogic 1000cc low impedance injectors and rail and lots of polished/chromed bits :)

 

Bought from dr jekyll it started life like this

Also got custom looms with a battery relocation to the boot, fuse box is now in the passenger footwell along with the ignitor. All new wiring and systems has been routed through empty pin connections and re sheathed so it looks stock aswell as rerouting the looms through the wings etc to keep them concealed :)

ABS Deleted

Power steering deleted

Coilpack conversion

Heater matrix etc removed and deleted

You going to be running this at santa pod in the jap drag series?

 

That's the intention mate, very keen on the street series. I will be a real underdog at first but it will be good experience as I need to learn the car and progress with her hence this 1st engine build being good for 600bhp to allow me to learn how to handle her while I build the 2nd motor good for 1400bhp to be a serious contender :)

One word...Legend!

 

Im a big fan of the HKS drag series at santa pod, Me and my old man normally attened every event :thumbs:

 

I'll be cheering you on from the grandstand lol. If I see you Ill pop by and say hello :thumbs:
