Proefi ecu

Most of the big boys run this in the states....are there even any dealers here!? Without someone to map the ECU in the UK it's pointless getting one.

I didn't see anybody in the EU on the dealer list but looking at the mapping tutorial Larry (soundPerformance) posted, the software looks fairly easy to use

I would nearly go as far to say, after a bit of reading/research I would be confident to give it a go

Marty over here should be using one on his 2UR-GSE V8 Supra

I suppose it could be mapped remotely via the Internet if that facility is in place, but I'd have to question getting this over a Syvecs given that the Syvecs has an infrastructure in place within the UK.

That is true but it still looks like a nice bit of kit! Just wondered if anybody did bite the bullet and get one!

Just looking through accessories and features of both ECU's, not too sure who was playing catch up with who; they both have external CAN displays: ProEFI Color CAN Display v2/ Syvecs Toucan Display etc very similar in design

Also do you have an lsd?? The pro efi traction control is controlled from one wheel only, so its something else to consider if you wanted that feature and have a stock torsen diff.

I would take that with a pinch of salt, who knows what background or IQ some of the guys who post on forums.

He is trying to run a 800+ hp drag car with a stock diff, yeah the ECU is the problem ha ha

Ha true, but its still an interesting point if true on the pro efi's traction control setup, I don't know how the syvecs traction control works but its something to consider.

They could recommission Roadrunner and have it run the traction control on that car but I don't think it will make any difference with 800 horses on a stock differential
