Its one of the nipples that the pipe goes on to.

It didnt snap off totally, but enough. I have superglued it back down very carefully.

The reason it happened was because there was a funny ticking noise coming from it and i thought maybe something was escaping coz the pipe wasnt tight and as i went to check the damned thing came off.

The thing is i need to know if it is safe to take to work

And if i do that i wont mess anything up

All help appreciated

Cheers

its your charcoal canister, they all make a noise mate, dont worry about it, its some bit of usless tat anyway for emission regulations, some people take them out !

Does nothing

So now its superglued back down it should be fine????

I dont think it will be totally air tight coz couldn't get to all of it as I didnt want to snap it off!

Thanks a lot for the quick reply!!

Feel much better now.

Thought knowing my luck it would be expensive!!

Thanks

one of the pipes runes direct to your petrol tank and gives off fuel vapour which means that it will distroy the glue and fill your engine bay with fuel vapour be carefull

Are we talking about over a prolonged period of time that this will happen, coz if so, I will hopefully have another one by then!

many people have removed these, on paper that could happen but in reality the tiny amount given off as vapour would escape out the engine bay, if there was enough to cause an explosion the canister would need changing regularly ;)

bye bye
it would only need changing if it had a hole init thats why its carbon it takes the fuel vapour and cleans it back to normal air
