Some of you may have seen I put a post of of my Supra I bought in the newbie section recently. The car had a few running problems which are all sorted now. Its BPU spec and I had it on the rolling road last week to set it up and check the fueling. It made 350WHP but would only run 1bar of boost because the fueling leaned off after that. So I'm going to get an aftermarket ECU. Are there any ECU's that anyone can recommened or give me some advice regarding this. Also I will be looking into a single turbo conversion in the near future. Thanks in advance

At 1 bar of boost the stock ECU injector driver opens fully and effectively panics. The 440's when clean will support about 400HP at the flywheel. So you are getting everything out of the fuelsystem that's possible and no ecu change will edit that. You've not indicated the AFR levels at all. But basically you don't want to run less that 11.7:1 at WOT (Wide Open Throttle) on full boost. If your system can't run up to 1.2bar without going dangerously lean I would say that part of the fuel system or the intercooler is tired. So, basically you've got lots to do before the ECU change.

This is the graph from the rolling road. Im more than happy to spend the money on the parts that itll need to get a little more power out of it, im just unsure what parts these should be as this is all still new to me. Im not sure if it has a FCD but Ive checked and it has a walbro fuel pump in it.IMG_2513.jpgIMG_2513.jpg

I was running 440's and HKS FCD at 1.2 bar on mine and she was fine, afr's wasn't a problem either. No point going with larger injection unless you are going to get a piggy back or standalone ECU.

seems down on power for a bpu car, thats near enough stock power, probably getting that little extra bhp from the intercooler and exhaust. if its only hitting 1 bar then youre probably hitting the fuel cut. a nice bpu car will produce 380bhp-400hp, mine is running this. iridium plugs, fcd, fuelpump, full decatted exhaust with 1.2 rr, i was going to do the injectors but dont want to risk putting to much stress on my car, im more wanting to keep it at a nice power lvl. since ive put cat back in for mot, my car is boosting 0.5bar then spikes to upto 1bar very briefly and maintains 0.8bar under hi speed. if you want big big bhp go single.

The Syvecs ECU would be the best start for you , you can make the best of the OEM setup and then upgrade as you need , lf you add up all the other bits that you can get to make the car run better then you are back to the price of a Syvecs ,

1. Syvecs

2. Fuel regulator

3. Fuel pump

4. Injectors and rail kit

5. Clutch

6. Turbo

7. Intercooler

This is the flow I use to set up my cars.

Again hope this helps you !
