Bouncy, squeaky rear.

Hi guys,

I'm afraid the thread isn't quite as interesting as the title will have you believe, however;

I've done a search on the forum, but nobody seems to have my specific problem of not only a squeaking passenger side rear suspension, but it's also far too bouncy. I can't tell if the shocks are standard or not, but they certainly look it. I've seen TCB sell some uprated KYB struts, is it worth swapping to these along with some stock springs at all? If not, can I have some reccomendations please? :)

I'd like to keep it fairly stock, or perhaps a little lower & stiffer than stock, but not too far.

Cheers!

Before you go for suspension, check the boot rubbers. If they have hardened, the boot lid will rattle and squeak, and is commonly misinterpreted as a suspension issue.

There are two on each side, one on the boot shut, and one on the boot lid.

Replacements are circa £25 from Whifbitz, and tend to suffer on these cars now anyway, so well worth doing.

Saying this, I still need to do mine (thanks for the kind of reminder ;))
