Bung for wideband sensor - where from

Was working on the car this evening and was mocking up the downpipe and i went to fit the wideband sensor into the bung hole on the downpipe

The bung is at the bottom of the downpipe and my wideband sensor will not reach down enough to fit in

Im going to have a look behind the dash tomorrow to see if there is aem cable wrapped up that i could then route through and be able to run the sensor down enough to fit in the hole.

If i cant do the above where can i get a bung from so i can have it welded into the top of the downpipe

The AEM widebands come with a fair length of cable attached mate, I'd say you'll be in the clear once you look behind the dash.

My sensor is in the second decat and I still had a shedload spare.

I will strip out dash tomorrow and see how much free cable is behind it and hopefully there will be enough to allow me move the bung downwards in engine bay

If for arguments sake i cannot do this where can i get a weld on bung from, looking at aem gauges this part comes with the kit, pity my kit was second hand

There is a great company to deal with in the uk that I got some odd fittings from in the recent past, can't recall the name right now, they might have what you're looking for.

I'll also check the leftovers from my own wideband kit to see if such a thing came with mine, I know I didn't use it but I honestly don't remember seeing one either.

Christ, I was imagining something FAR more elaborate!

Extend the cable? Suring a re-solder job would be easier than re-welding a new bung. I made my own bung yesterday on the lathe, be far easier to extend the cable surely?
