Also any recommendations which one I should get, stick to stock OEM Toyota one or go for an aftermarket one? Also whilst the belt is being swapped does it make sense (money permitting) to also swap the pulleys at the same time, for some fresh looking anodised ones as mine are a bit rusty? Scooter Posted February 12, 2013 Share Posted February 12, 2013 defo get a new belt, personally re the pulleys i'd check for smoothness with the belt off and go from there as looks do not bother me......ie i'd save the money for a stock crank pulley etc down the line. The Cam Belt has been done recently, so that’s fine. When you say the Distribution Belt I gather you mean the Timing/Cam Belt? r2ck_p Posted February 13, 2013 Author Share Posted February 13, 2013 If looking to replace Pulleys I was thinking some anodised Black or Polished ones. If anyone does have any for sale let me know. There were on sale from Whifbitz over Christmas, but now back at full price. If I can get some new ones for a good price I will buy them if not, just going to swap the belt as all my money is being spent on another project.
