depends if you DIY or hand it over to someone else to do it. Ive just collected ALL the parts and its expensive. Getting the right engine was the hard part, Jurgen imported mine (prices vary on his yahoo auctions site) I went for a Supra engine and not an aristo one, so no parts need to be changed, ie sump etc.

I will swap 1JZ for 1UZ in my Supra soon, so if you are interested I can do NA-TT conversion using healthy and clean 1JZ engine for 1900 pounds including installation and wiring. I'll change water pump and cambelt and Nodalmighty from this forum will do all the wiring.

And then you still have a tt, this for me always seems like a lot of effort to get a stock tt, but hey each to their own I went the na-t route

Yeah but if you plan to push n/a-t further then you have to take the head off to fit a tt headgasket, or take it completely apart for tt pistons, a standard tt lump can be pushed futher without that work. Most n/a-t projects ive seen are shooting for the 350-400hp mark, with is pretty much bpu on a stock tt, i dont think n/a-t would be so popular if tt engines where more readily available, and i'd imagine a well spec'd n/a-t conversion wont be a lot cheaper than a tt conversion. But like you said, each to their own, its great to see a bit more variety on the forum
