Updating Interior Dash lighting

Hey folks, I was wondering what people had done to update the look of the supra interior, specifically the internal dash lights.

I know there are some hobbyists on the forum that offer services however I just don't want to go to that extreme at the moment.

I was looking on the net and came across this which looks fairly good..

What have you done to your interior lights?

Pictures would be good, as it will give me some ideas ;-)

Just put one of Hecklers Heater control units in mine

There are a few pics towards the end of my build thread http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?244206-My-Widebody-Trd-how-it-was-done-by-ShellShocked-UPDATED-With-New-Pics-11-3-2012

From what I can gather, you need to be careful of cheap LED's as they have a habit of dieing

Heckler only charges around £100 to do them all for you

I got lucky and grabbed a 2nd hand Heater Control:D

El-Glo Reversed Dials, again some pics towards the end of my build thread and again got hold of them 2nd hand on here

Those LED bulbs are very expensive.

These white LED's give a good spread of light and you can then use some coloured transparent film behind the dials. I would do it this way rather than using coloured LED's as they do not illuminate the red needles properly.

This thread is for an MR2 but they are similar to the Supra dials.

I'm doing mine at the moment using stainless steel dials with coloured transparent film behind and then unprinted white indiglo dials behind to illuminate them.

That looks pretty good with the LED strips, but lighting up those needles is still a problem for me.

I have one of Heckler's dash conversions and Moman's (http://www.moman.eu) gauge lighting, and they do look great, but the needles don't light up so well.

Wow. Yours and Rogs are nigh on identical!
