View Full Version : Tanabe Exhaust...
Hey Dusty,
just a few quick questions,
I've been looking at your site, and i've come across the Tanabe super racing medallion, is it one of the loudest/nicest sounding exhausts as i'm after a nice loud system?
Also shipping?
My parents are going to New York in a few weeks, would it be worthwhile sending it to them and they bring it back, would that be the cheapest option and could they do it ok?
Thanks for your help
Graham..
I have the Tanabe R.M. on my Supra. It is one of the loudest. The only 2 louder are the Veilside Titanium and the HKS Hyper Titanium. When I bought mine 5 years ago it was the loudest and most powerful which is why I chose it.
Yes I can ship to N.Y. That costs about $35-$40 from MVP. If the plane does not charge them to check it in as extra baggage it would probably be cheaper. If the airline charges them then it may be just a cheap to ship direct to you.
Have your parents call the airline and find out if there is an additional cost. It weighs 39 pounds and is 63x19x11 inches in size.
Cheers,
Dusty
Sorry for the hijack guys, but it's kind of related...
What exhaust do you recommend for stock based turbos running as much bpu spec as possible (ie no single but most other stuff) for max torque and power without being horribly loud with a full decat as well. I currently have a Trial exhaust which is a nice sound, my father has a Blitz Nur Spec which is a lot louder but more boomy at cruising. Is the Nur Spec 3" internal diameter? How does that compare to the Tanabe RM and Hyper?
Cheers
Dan
For BPU Supra you can take advantage of almost any size exhaust. For something that is not super loud and makes good power I definitely have to go with the Blitz NUR or the HKS Super Drager.
The Tanabe RM is too loud as is the Veilside Titanium and the HKS Hiper Titanium in my opinion for what you are saying you want.
The Blitz NUR is 80mm and the HKS is 95mm which is almost too big to take full advantage of with the stock hair dryers.

Dusty
I've checked with the parents, and they are gonna check with the airline, but they were originally told that they are aloud a max of 44lbs so it might be a bit dodgy,
What sort of price am i looking at to get it sent directly here? Is it worth while getting as few extra bits in the same box to save a bit on shipping (ie boost controller etc) If so i might save up a bit more and do it all together.
Thanks for all your help again,
I will need your complete address to give you all the shipping quotes I have available to us.
If you add small parts it is basically free, so yes it is a fabulous time to add parts.
Thanks,
Dusty
Sounds good mate, cheers.
I'll PM my address.
Cheers.
Graham,
I tried to PM you but your box is full...
Please email me dusty@mvpmotorsports.com
Thanks,
Dusty
