Hi

 

Im having the car fully repainted in fue days but then it will look gleming so dont want it let down by a shi*y winked out pannel :eek: anyone know whats the best way to remove that poxy stuff that Mr T thought was such a good idea to cover it in and whats best to repaint it in the match the rest of the trim gloss or satin??

I want to do mine too, do you have to wet flat and prime etc?

 

hi mate

 

yes you have to sand,scuff up etc so the plastic primer can bond to it then paint or it will come off in time just want to know how to get the poxy coating off so I can paint lol

as for new what sort cost we looking at??

Before painting try some of that Armourall (Sp?) back to black stuff.

 

Mine was looking very poor so tried this and it came up a treat. Car not used much and over 12 months later still looks ok.

 

Might be worth trying a small area to see what you think as it will be a pain to remove it if you go down the paint route later.
