After hunting for over a year (and waiting what seems a lifetime) I have made the jump and scored a deal on a JDM MKIV Supra Twin Turbo. I also have another project car, so my project goal on this car is to keep it subtle yet bold.

More shots to come but this is how she sits right now.

Thanks to Yokohama I received some new rubber to plant the car on the road :D

I hooked it up with a set of Yokohama Advan Sport's with a 255/35ZR18 for the Front and 295/35RZ18 for the Rear, Special thanks to yokohama!

Please excuse the horrible shot, but it was late, dark and misting when I took the shot here in "sunny" UK, but after finally getting the broken drivers seat out, (bad electric motor) the Recaro's are in and they are crazy comfortable

Congrats on the purchase. Some nice plans there and I'm loving the recaros.

Thanks! It's keeping me busy :D

Recaros look very good . What was the weight difference with the seats?

A few kilo's at least, exactly I am not sure, but I can tell the drivers seat alone is at least half the weight of the OEM electric seat.

  • 1 month later...

Spent most the day at RobD's garage working on the Supra to flush the radiator & health inspection. While we were working on the car we noticed a metal clicking/clipping noise from around the cambelt, problem not yet diagnosed, (could be tensioner) but going to go ahead and replace the cambelt/tensioner and front main seal since we are already going to be buried in the car. I am attempting to future proof this car from problems once it goes back, so the part replacement integrity checks will be keeping me busy for a little while. All in all it was nice working with RobD and if you happen to be close enough to take your car for service, I would highly recommend them.

Also, if you happen to read Japanese Performance Magazine, keep an eye out for February/March issue :)
