I looked at this and wondered.

How can you calculate something as a rule of thumb with so many variables. Launch time, car output and mods, drag tyres etc.

I guessed at around 20 Mph if you had a 5 sec 0 - 60 car. That calculator posted above says around 15 Mph.

Can't you get Ryan to program the Syvecs so it will only allow it after a certain speed? Wheelspin not a factor as could be read from the front abs hubs?

I guess a relay only activated after a certain speed would do it. I'm sure you could get an output from the Syvecs after a certain speed.

yes Ryan has programed it to come in at 60 mph , but I think that is a little bit to late as I change gear at the end of 60 ft and that is when I need it to come in so thinking about it I will get him to change it to 50 mph now and see what happens.

27.1 mph

Might be wrong, but worked it out using 18 meters, which is 60ft

27.3 mph

Does this not only apply to travelling at a constant speed? The car is stationary when the timer starts and covers 60ft in 1.5 seconds. The Wallace calculator in the first post is the best bet I reckon.

If you use the third calculator down on the link i posted you can choose to ente SPEED and TIME, and when you put 28mph and then put 1.5 seconds, it says it will cover 61 feet.

which ever one you use it comes out the same.

But that's using the average speed he wants to know the actual speed, 45 mph sounds more realistic.

I was wrong above.
