TRD vents & UK Scoop

I dont suppose anyone has photos of a Bonnet with TRD vents and the

UK scoop on the same bonnet, or could accurately photoshop a uk scoop

onto this photo.

Or if anyone with a TRD bonnet could measure these dimensions

for me i'd be greatfull

My car was damaged by some nice person last weekend and as

usual cctv is no use and the driver didn't leave their details just

a nasty gouge in the bonnet

how the hell did that happen?

More to the point what did it to hit the bonnet there? (van / reversing lorry)

gutted for you m8. I had a not too dissimilar thing happen to me (only the front wing tho).

Good luck getting it sorted and you can only hope that Karma will come back around to the people that do these things.

The prime suspect is a Ford transit with a tipper body, i've spent a week trying to track

down the vehicle but got zero help from the police.

The story is quite involved but i shan't say anything on here other than a big thank you

to the police for doing bugger all

I have a few pics on my ipad of my palls car with the vents and uk spec scoop fitted, I'll get them up later on after training, if I forget pm me and remind me on thanks :)

Pretty standard police work tbh....

Sorry to see this mate, hope it gets sorted ASAP :(

Yes pretty poor at best.

I'll get it sorted just not sure which way to go, the wing and bumper is mainly

paint but do i fit a j spec bonnet and not have a scoop, or cut the j spec and

fit the scoop or modify my damaged bonnet

The only problem i find with my trd is rain when its not in the garage a few years back my alternator seized, worth considering undertrays if your is kept outside :)

The TRD bonnet design is flawed IMO, water gets to all the places in the engine bay you dont want it to get!

Yeah it gets on the pulleys, the battary, air filter and alternator as i said before if its kept outside its worth considering undertrays, which make the vents kinda pointless imo
