Odometer question

I just want to clarify something regarding the odometer in my car. The speedo only goes up to 110 or 120 so im assuming has just had the relevant fascia put on rather than a conversion. The digital odometer reads in km.

I assume that the odometer reading in km is actually km as the dash speedo is the type it is. Also all the paperwork adds up gradually there isnt a sudden change.

Correct.

Your ODO will clock up in kms unless you either get it converted (I have a converted one for sale but would need correction by a specialist to reflect true mileage of the car) or you get an ODO from a UK spec car. You could also fit a converter/delimiter but then you would need to remove the Speedo dial and replace it with one that has a 180 mph scale. You could also fit a UK spec cluster but your ODO would still need to be changed as above.

Apologies for dragging this up again, but I just want to make sure I'm not having a blonde moment!

I have a JDM Supra that had a speed converter/delimiter fitted to convert KMH to MPH. Does this mean my Odometer reading of 32026 is still in KM or Miles?

Since I've had the Supra I've always thought the converter coverted both the speedo and odo to miles, but now I'm not 100% sure.

Cheers

Your ODO reading of 32026 will be kms but after conversion (depending on the type of converter) will then clock up in miles. Keep a note of the ODO reading for clarification to any future buyer. You could get the ODO reading calculated and 'corrected' by a specialist to display the true mileage reading of the car. The ODO may still display the legend for 'kms' instead of 'miles' but you can change this by swapping a wire on the ODO wiring plug.
