Install cams 280.. clearance to head, now with pictures

I have bought BC 289 cams and to fit them I need to fix the clearance.

Have anyone ideas or pictures about this?

Seems to a lot of grinding or machining. I measure the standard clearance for the cams to the head and it was around 3mm. Is the minimum measure for how close it can be?

Need some help for this issue :)

Do you mean the lobes catch the head casting either side of the tappet buckets and the head CASTING needs reliefs milling? I can do that. Or do you mean shimming the valve clearances? The LIFT of the cam relative to its base circle diameter defines whether reliefs are needed. I am confused, first you mention a 280 degree duration cam, then some wild drag race / circuit race cam.....

They are fiddly and time consuming to do on a milling machine. I have some photos of my RB26 head after I cut the reliefs, not sure where they are now, probably on a n old hard drive. I can do these, but you are a long way away. ANY good machinist should have no trouble, he'll just look at it as another lump of metal needing carving about, not a Supra head.

so it has be machined something like this to make clearance( this was grinded by hand and it will be machined later on, just want to make an ide how i am thinking)

Will the buckets still not move to much in the side when i rev 8000 after this machining? Its a lot of machining, specielly one of the sides! (that one closest to the intake)
