Hi,

I have had 19s on my Sup for almost a year and due to the winter coming i have bought a set of UK 17s to run around in (coz of the salt, grit etc), now it was dry today up in sunny Stoke on Trent so i gave it some stick....The handing is 10 times better than on the 19s!!!!!

CW told me it would be but i didnt realise it would make so much difference!!!!

Has anyone else experienced this ;)

Chris

Told you so..... :-) My take on this is a lot of people buy 19 inch rims purely for cosmetic reasons and live with the terrible handling, others buy a car with them already fitted and so don't realise the dire consequences, and others fit them, find them dire, but having spent a small fortune on them cannot bear to admit their mistake. A few are probably unable to tell the difference, they are the ones that worry me the most :innocent:

I changed from 17" to 18" and found a massive difference in ride quality and handling. The car tramlined a lot more on 18" too but I have now gotten used to it and have decided to accept the compromise between looks and function.

Yeah, the ride quality wasnt as bad for me, probably due to the softer UK shocks, but since going on 18's it deffo tramlines more and you can feel the wheels going places the 17's would never dare ;)

Having said that, its still not worth going back for normal driving for my tastes :) 17's will be back on for a good track day, but the 18's were fine on a smooth track like that in Germany.
