We fitted the car with:

Bomex Replica Front
Toyota Replica Sideskirts
Veilside Replica Rear spats
Toyota Late spec front lights
Japan spec clear light bulbs
Toyota Late spec rear lights
RING Foglamps
Blitz Nur Spec R
Envy De-cat Pipes
HKS SQV
Racing Hart CR 18"

The skirts and spats have blended into the bodywork as you can see :)

Car has been professionally colour changed (including the engine bay painted black) to Porsche Midnight Blue.

This has all been done on site here at Envy in Bedlington - give us a call if you want a similar project undertaken.

Gareth.

Wow! What a difference!

Gaz - can you replace the rubbers and seals etc as well?

I'm seriously thinking of buying a TT & getting complete re-spray with a different colour. Do you take out all the windows etc?

What problems are there with the blended in skirts? Do they crack easily if you give them an accidental kick or slight knock?

Also, what sort of cost (roughly) for the fitting of bodykit, blending skirts & complete respray (windows etc out the lot!) I'm trying to work out if I've got enough. I guess it's at least £2-3k, or am I miles away!?

The rear windows had new seals - all the glass was removed.

The blending is very durable, if you had a rear bump though you might find they crack depending how you want them blended.

Its at least £2k + VAT for a respray of this quality, not inc blending.

Thanks for the words guys, I am sure Ro will be over the moon.

it's a shame the sun weren't out when the pics were taken, the midnight blue's a pearlescent colour but it is almost black when the lights not on it :D

A lick of paint makes the world of difference - and good choice in colour !
The Supras I have had before had yukky interiors - I agree on the idea of retrimming the seats and interior in grey :)

Now you have yer pride and joy setup - dont break it ! The worst sound in the world is the cracking of faring and the crunching of sideskirts on concrete :(

How the hell did they paint the engine bay? There's no way they would have 'oiked the engine out, but if they didn't wouldn't there be overspray all over the place? (Or maybe brush strokes)

Looks like it's a proper job though! I may well end up giving you a call for some bodywork at some point guys.

Toyota Late spec front lights
Japan spec clear light bulbs
Toyota Late spec rear lights

since the work was done by ENVY, they're also supplied and fitted me with an RPS Street Sport clutch, Phillips blue vision lamps and the Nur Spec (which went on brand new when the car was resprayed and is now for sale ;) ) has been replaced with Kevin's Amuse R1 Titan exhaust, will try and update this thread when the weather's better to take some more pics :D

once again, ENVY have been quality!

Whitelightning
03-02-05, 23:47
Only thing I would fault is the rear No. plate, needs to be full 'UK' depth :)

Actually some Police forces demand that you put on this plate (the one in the photo) at the rear instead of the Bike sized one many of us have.
Checked DVLA, we are not exempt even with import cars, we have to have UK plate sizes. Exemption must meet 2 criteria, Import AND cant fit UK plate sizes. We can. So all those with jap plates (Bike sized square) you might be asked to replace them (as I was) coz the Police cameras (OCR) have a problem reading them (Gutted !) ;)

LOL. Colour is very important, why did you go for that colour? Great colour for the supra, I can't do blue I'm afraid. Owned two blue cars in my lifetime, one was a hyundai accent and was pretty shite and the other got driven into at 50mph head on and that was the end of that!

Kopite
16-06-05, 13:02
well at first it was gonna be the standard green, then i was thinkin candy reds and blues, RSP etc. Then i saw a pic of Jake's Ragethunderstorm job and wanted that -was worried i was becomin ancient like him and gettin similar tastes! :p in the end i wanted something which no one else had and i was likin the blueness of RSP but i also thought supe's look best in dark colours. so A + B = dark blue. then literally a minute later a dark blue porsche went past so i thought i'd investigate and went to a porsche dealer at the liverpool docks. had a nice chat with the bloke who worked there, he said it was a standard metallic colour, looked great stood next to a GT2 in midnight blue. got the details and decided on that.

the bonus was when i was gettin the repsray sorted, had told Envy it was just a metallic colour. get a phone call off Huntley - it's a pearlescent colour which needed quite a few more coats, would do it for the same price anyway :kneel:

the only problem with the colour is it's like my hall way carpet - dark blue and impossible to keep clean. haven't had a time really where it's been freshly polished and the sun's been gleamin on it - hopefully JAE might be the day! :D

phew!

and sabrina - were you doing your make up while tryin to paint your nails resulting in the 50mph head on? :D

out of pocket for 2 1/2 years. Then finally got compo = £7k for which I totally wasted, in fact I think the only thing I have to show for it now is a double bed :stickpoke . Didn't pay any of the debt of I acquired in replacing stuff which was destroyed as a result of the accident [my car was written off etc]. still paying it off now, so I guess I am out of pocket. But shite happens, and I did enjoy spending it. :nyah:

You know I don't mind the supra in white. Get some stock skirts on the car, lower it, and add big alloys it looks pretty tidy IMO.

Just seen this, sorry to say Michael but i think you're being totally unfair now. There's about 5 or 6 seperate digs you've had about this repair job. I've seen your car a couple of times since the repair job and i thought it looked really really tidy. Did you ask Gaz or Kev to sort out any niggles after you examined the car? If you did i'm sure they would of until you were happy enough to drive the car away and end the work on your car. There were things i asked Kev to sort (in addition to the job being done) and he pestered his paint man to the point of them falling out, he made sure it was all done though.
