Abz
Hello All, I have a roof spoiler waiting to go on but before I do I wanted to give it a clean/polish. It seems to have light swirl marks and generally just needs a good clean. Could you advise of a product or method that could bring it up 100%?! I think I have some plasticX in the shed and that is about it. Thanks Abz
TubbyTwo
Is it a painted spoiler or black plastic?
Abz
Is it a painted spoiler or black plastic? Black plastic, it's the OEM roof spoiler.
TubbyTwo
I would clean it first with an APC mix. Flash is ok for this, once cleaned and degreased get a decent dressing on there thats going to last. Depending on how much you want to spend , Gtechniq - C4 Permanent Trim Restorer is the nuts, or from halfords the Megs Trim dressing is pretty good. Will be popping to Halfords with my shopping list tomorrow
benkei
I don't think there's anything you can do about the swirl marks though, as the roof spoiler is plastic. I have the same issue with mine. I'm yet to give my Supra a detail! Can you post up before and after pics, so we can see how well it works?
sideexitsupra
You can always try T-Cut. I had a mate who used this to polish out scratches on the clear plastic visor/cowling on his motorbike. Worked perfectly.

Will be popping to Halfords with my shopping list tomorrow No worries, make sure that once the dressing has been applied you just wipe over it a few mins later. Removes any excess that might run off onto the bodywork if it rains.
