epc problem

OK chaps,

I've downloaded the epc programme and that unzipped and worked fine.

I then downloaded both the 500 odd meg files labelled

Jap97a1.iso.gz and

jap97a2.iso.gz

I then copied the first file to disc and labelled the disc

19970213J1

I then went to the epc programme and went to the disc set-up, ticked the european set up. Set the input file to d: and then changed the A1 to hard disc.

I then hit exec but get a load of error messages. Am I doing something wrong?

Cheers

Was it something about not enough disk space by any chance? There's a bug in it - it doesn't like modern big hard disks and gets confused by the amount of free space available. You have to copy a big file loads of times so there's not much space left and then install it.

OK I've just downloaded the file from arnout's site which was 26 meg instead.

Again I named the disc 1997... whatever it was.

Do I need to try and extract the jap97a1.iso.gz or something or literally just copy it do disc and run it?

The error is something like

gcsetup,cmd,get_input_dat/setclentinfo, (13)(0)(0)

I'm going to try and download a load of .rar files that I've found.

This is starting to get annoying.

:(

Cheers guys

Tony

If you are running 19970213J1 you don't want it in the Euro setup box, try the other options (don't have the EPC on this PC to check but isn't there an Asia section?)

If this doesn't help try changing the drive letter selector to the hard disk designation rather than CD.
