Scuttle Panel -- Bring back to life?

@JellyBean - When Stonkin detailed my car, he used Auto Glym Bumper Care for the scuttle and it came up a treat.

1. Remove the 5 scuttle screws

2. Remove bottom rubber strip (very fiddly, may lose some clips)

3. Remove the wiper covers at the base and 2 bolts

 

You should be able to free it now. I sprayed mine black and it came out quite well even with my poor skills. A few of the fishbone ribs were damaged on mine, if I had longer I would have removed all these between the ribs, sanded it back and sprayed. Still wish someone would make a carbon fibre or fibreglass version of this though.

The other week I cleaned mine up.... Came up like new....

 

It was grey / white in places... really looked bad...

 

Gave it a good wash, then got a toothbrush and used Autoglym "Vinyl and rubber cleaner".

 

Sprayed loads on, scrubbed like mad, left it for about 2 hours, then done it again...

 

Still looks new to this day....
