Seeing if a coil pack is misfiring is just a matter of scoping the primary and secondary waveforms, no need to buy, beg or borrow other ones. There's also a lot of misinformation about "coil pack clips". They DO NOT break down, they have no part in the ELECTRICAL connection, and are merely mechanical in nature. When broken they allow the spade terminals for the coil pack connections to waggle about, open up and no longer make a reliable connection. The spade terminals ideally want changing, for which Toyota sell a tailed repair kit, or carefully closing up to regain a tight fit on the coil pack terminals. if the plastic shells are broken these should also be replaced.

With basic diagnostic gear you can tell in minutes if it's a fuel injection misfire or an ignition misfire, with virtually no dismantling (just 10 bolts on the coil pack cover....)
