Fogging up headlights

I face lifted my pre-facelift lights about a year ago, and one fogged up so about 6 months ago I decided to have another go, (it turned out that the one that was foggy had about a inch of water in the bottom of the light) and this time made sure I did a good job of sealing it up, however after this heavy rain we've had recently its fogged up again, and apon closer inspection it has water in te bottom of the light again.

It's quite clear that I need new ones sooner or later, but Im wondering in the mean time if it'd be worth while drilling a little drain hole?

Or is this likely to make it worse?

Any one tried this before?

This may seem like a daft question (but it solved my issues). Is the cap in at the back of the fog lights or can you see right into the light itself?

My car had aftermarket HID's and some clever turd had removed the caps and wrapped them up in the HID wiring. Every time it rained the water ran down the wings and directly into the back of the light. They will always fog up in cold weather etc but if they are getting worse then water itself and not just vapour is getting in there.

I fitted the caps and have never had a problem since.

Yeah the fog light caps are fitted, however looking at it, they don't seem to be a tight fit!

Awesome, I'll look into that! Cheers!

They should be tight. Has the rubber gasket been removed?

They are about £13 from Toyota which is a damn site cheaper than a new set of lights.
