Thanks very much for my seats Dusty and for all your help on the other stuff too. I think they are going to look great and give me that extra support I have longed for :D

Some pic's (We like pic's on here)

Only built one seat so far (Sliders and subframe) Seatbelt fixing onto the subframe next but, here is a shot of the seat on the frame in it's first test fit in the car.

Are seats easy to change?

What are the pros and cons? Like no more electrics!?!

They look great, and a lot more supportive than the OEM seats.

Do you mind me asking how much these were all in (seats + mounts + carriage + duty etc) ? PM if you like...

Cheers.

Yes, just five bolts to get the old seat out - 10mins

As for you second question - I'm still working on that and will report back when completed.

Cons so far:

Yes, you loose the electrics in the drivers seat but, I only ever move the seat to hoover the back footwell, as for the heated seat part, well, I never did use it that much (once maybe twice a year) so, won't miss it.

I have heating in my garage so, the cold is not a problem for me :)

Pros so far:

More support than stock seats
No more sliding around on the leather in fast corners - Now I can really enjoy the CW suspension
Sparco do a Supra specific subframe which, uses the stock mounting holes/bolts and allows the use of the stock seatbelt fittings - The bit you plug the belt into.
I'm sure the new seats weigh less - I'll confirm this.
Personal choice - I never did like the cream & black look - The cream is starting to show it's age now after 9yrs

I'll add to this when both are fitted.

Sorry just a quick question, do you know how much they weigh? and any weight benefits in terms of the standard supra seats?

Hi mate,if you dont mind me asking where abouts did you get your supra specific frames from?,cause I picked up a pair of torino seats with runners and havent a clue where to get the frames let alone how much they cost.
