Hey everybody,

I said hi on the Suprafest Thread just to introduce myself!

My name is Paul and I Drive my wifes 1990 CR-X SiR. I have one myself but seem to do more work on hers than I do mine (including money being spent)!

I will be coming along and racing on the 7th of July so please don't turn your noses up at me for turning up to your big day in a little Honda!

Here is a few photos of my Wifes car... I can't post into the projects thread so I'll stick some bits up here.

Spec of the car:

B18C4 1800cc VTEC engine,

9.8:1 CP Pistons,

Eagle H beam Rods,

ARP 2000 Head studs, Rod bolts and Main's,

ACP Race bearings,

ITR head, Cams, Retainers and Springs (fully rebuilt when engine was built up)

Edelbrock Victor X inlet Manifold,

ITR Throttle body,

RC 750cc injectors,

3" Downpipe and Exhaust

T34 Hybrid Turbo (Old Cossie turbo with a T28 hot side to aid spool)

HKS cast manifold

TiAl 44mm Wastegate,

Small (soon to be bigger Forge intercooler),

Converted to ODB1 and using a boost controller controlled by the ECU,

Big brakes all round,

Fully poly Bushed,

Buddy Club N spec coilovers,

The car is in full road trim and weighes in at 1070KG with 3/4 of a tank of fuel.

The last time it was tuned (Eurospec 2000) it made 340bhp (290 ATW) and 275ftlb at 1bar of boost.

Not a monster but great fun none the less!

I have had a couple of CRX's, one this shape too but that got stolen :(

With that power to weight ratio I expect great things from that CRX! I noticed this is on the G plate, is this the one without power steering? :D

Looking forward to seeing you at Pod!

Thanks for all the love guys!

It has the stock crank in which is good for upto 800-1000bhp (seriously double bullit proof)

We also kept the power steering! It's a great bit of kit that gives great road feel, not too light, not too heavy.

One thing we did remove was the ABS... That is 22 year old technology and we'd rather do without the weight!

I've always been partial to the MKiv supra! To be honest I'm at an age where I might start thinking about one purely for comfort reasons! I love the CR-X but it's just a road legal go-kart. Weekend sunny day car!

Mine had no power steering, I had 20" biceps within 2 weeks, living in central London and parking in tight spots. :D

On the bold bit, if you ask nicely you could sit in a nice BPU Supra to see how it feels, I can promise you after you have you will be on autotrader the following day looking at them!!
