I got my new Supra last weekend and there are a few little things that niggle me, including the mounting the my Blitzt SBD-id Boost Controller + Power Meter which are mounted below the stereo stuck to a piece of wood loosely fixed. It looks horrind in my opinion

Stereo doesn't look to great either as it sticks out a bit far and doesn't have a surround.

How have people with these mounted them. Any pics?

I dont have stuff like this in my supe, but a mate has all sorts of gadgets in his skyline. He uses hard black foam stuff, which is easily cut and shaped, but strong and durable to mount his stuff. Not sure where he gets it though, so not much help i guess lol

I'm thinking maybe fixing a blanking plate on the opening and then properly fixing the devices to it. I'm thinking either I'd like to recess them into the opening but not sure how easy that would be, or move them somewhere else so I can fit a double din stereo.

I'm amazed at what these designers come up with. I was sat in the car for an hour yesterday trying to work out where to fit the 1/4 din and 1/2 din hks evc boost controller and display. I have come to the conclusion that they are so fugly that the only place to put them is in the upper glovebox and just open it when I want to see them for a reason. I tried everywhere and it all looked pants. I have an added bonus that the display is square and is a perfect fit in the ashtray leaving only a 3/4" gap on 1 edge. Yours being curved really are obnoxious to look at. Most 1/2 din boost controllers are made to fill the gap where yours are placed already, but they added the curves so they wouldn't look right.

Hope this helps ;)

Tell me about it, they're going to take a bit of work to look how I'd like them too.

This is where the foam stuff comes in ;) Easy to manipulate for the curves.

I'll get onto my mate and find out what it is exactly that he uses, and where he gets it from. I had a little bit I robbed off him and it is easily cut and shaped with a stanley knife. I'm sure it would be ok to cover it with vynil/some kind of wrap too.
