Hi the chassis on my car is a CAT C non turbo supra. I done a TT conversion and DVLA won't give me my logbook until it goes through Vehicle Identity Check. Thats not a problem i got nothing to hide but the problem is. the engine won't match up the the logbook but i can't declare my engine as i don't have a logbook.

Would it still pass the VIC test? any advise on what to do? (I have a lot of paper work for the TT engine i put in the car i am taking that all with me hope it helps. )

I'm not VOSA :), but I don't think that should be a problem. The vehicle's identity is the chassis number.

As far as the engine is concerned, VOSA shouldn't be interested in the fact that it's now a turbo. They may want to check that the replacement engine is legit.

I've heard that VOSA are usually pretty helpful if you inquire about stuff like this, so you could call and ask what happens if the engine has been replaced in returning the car to roadworthy condition (don't complicate matters by mentioning the turbos :)).
