Gpro Posted June 22, 2012 Share Posted June 22, 2012 Hi the chassis on my car is a CAT C non turbo supra. I done a TT conversion and DVLA won't give me my logbook until it goes through Vehicle Identity Check. Thats not a problem i got nothing to hide but the problem is. the engine won't match up the the logbook but i can't declare my engine as i don't have a logbook. Would it still pass the VIC test? any advise on what to do? (I have a lot of paper work for the TT engine i put in the car i am taking that all with me hope it helps. ) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
garethr Posted June 22, 2012 Share Posted June 22, 2012 (edited) I'm not VOSA , but I don't think that should be a problem. The vehicle's identity is the chassis number. As far as the engine is concerned, VOSA shouldn't be interested in the fact that it's now a turbo. They may want to check that the replacement engine is legit. keron Posted June 22, 2012 Share Posted June 22, 2012 yes vosa only check the chassis no to the one on record. not the engine no. takes them 1 min to check...last one i did took them 1min 40 seconds! load of crap! just a way of them gaining an extra 40 odd quid for nothing!
