£300 no exchange required.
can you explain a little about the mines upgrade? RPM rev? injectors? ignition?
Arnout,
The MINES ECU has - no rev limit, no speed restriction, no fuel cut.
It richens up the map and is supposed to have a map upto 1.1bar instead of the stockers 1.0bar.
I had one and it was great :)
But apparently they really make it hard to run one with a piggyback unit as well.
It is not re-programmable.

£200 exchange, bargain.
Would this go on a '98 VVTi TT?? The cars standard at the mo' so would I see any benefits??
Would this go on a '98 VVTi TT?? Nope.
...............
Damn!! :( Mate, if your car is stock you should be looking at BPU stuff before you start looking at replacing the ECU and shit like that. (This thread isn't the place to discuss it though - sorry Paul)

Correct, you need to be doing other stuff first.
is this any good for a uk6?

whitelightening worked in iraq (i think) ...so mine = land mine.... hence a menacing mine....hence the engineers.
what do i win? :D
Paul - only relation in whole sentence was 'mine'
I would have thought somebody would have snapped this up by now.
It is perfect for somebody running stock jap fuel system and twins,it is a good upgrade if youre planning on using seq sytem and not going single.
Does this just plug straight in place of the existing ECU? What change will it have?
Will it still work if i were to upgrade to say 650cc injectors?
Sorry for the questions!!
:thanks:

Its a direct replacement yes but wont work with bigger injectors unfortunately, its mapped for the std size.
Cheers
What difference will i see against the standard ecu compared to the mines ecu?

As Alex said
"The MINES ECU has - no rev limit, no speed restriction, no fuel cut.

I presume it will also have the ignition map optimised for running increased boost also which is nice. Power gains, I would have no idea unless you ran them back to back on the rollers.

Mine has a rev limit all be it a bit higher !!!
Dude
I believe it's around 8000 and yes the ignition map is more aggressive than stock.
is the Mines ECU basically a reprogrammed Stock ECU?
If it is, then surely this means that to a talented enough hacker, the stock ECU could be modified to save all these piggyback hacks we have to use.

It would be nice if it could be, save a lot of dosh and pissing around.
I think it is a daughterboard. Paul just sent you an email ..... danc (yahoo address).
