What do people generally do with their electric seat once it has jammed up?

I am expecting to get told they get thrown away!

Let's see.......

Had it break a month ago, I basically stretch ny legs a little further to the pedals ;)

I am holding out for someone to bin a ratty front one as people tend to just want rid or buy a manual sliding one id it becomes available. As I understand there are 2 motors, it seems the motor nearest the centre console has gone on mine. I think the internal cogs are only plastic and it is those that die. Might try and take it apart and see if I can find a replacement in metal.

a broken/non moving drivers seat is a MOT failure! I have worked out a method of re-engineering the seat mechanism to work with half of the original components it came with!!

I was wondering if I should offer a service to re-engineer broken seats?! tried and tested, and MOT approved on my very on Supra ;)

I think you need to pay for membership and contact a moderator before posting up such things. Just a suggestion.

Good point!!
