Only getting 0.8 bar of boost

Today I noticed Weird stuff was happening when the second turbo was supposed to be working. It would feel like it would lose power coming up to 4k revs.

So I took it out and tested it and it was just jolting after 4k revs as it reved up and not accelerating as hard.

I also noticed it was only reading 0.8 bar of boost.

So i got back and had a look and one of the little hoses was not right on. So i pushed that right back on and took it out again and it was all good again. Nice and smooth and lots more torque again.

However I checked the boost guage again and still only 0.8 bar of boost. Bit annoying though because I never checked to see if its ever been going over 1 bar.

Now I don't know if the clip just isnt tight enough around that one hose and maybe its still leaking there. I just find it strange the boost didnt change when I put it back on but the power did.

I've been talking to Jurgen and he said 0.8 bar is fine but I know a lot of people say they get 1.2 bar of boost. I don't have a boost controller and I know some people don't have them and run 1.2 bar and someone people say they needed one to raise the boost to 1.2 bar.

always good to look here when asing about the sequensial set up

Hmm yea I did have a read through that and it does feel like the second turbo is working ok now because I do feel like I can another burst of power as it gets up to 4000 revs but its just only ever getting to 0.8 bar and not rising any further.

If a hose had come off but you've refitted it, I would guess it's still likely it's leaking.

Yeah thats what I'm thinking. Would just replaces the clips for some good ones help hold it on tight enough ? I guess maybe it is just slipping off a bit as soon as I accelerate and losing boost.

I did check again after the second run and the hose was still right on by the looks of it but maybe the clip just isnt holding it on hard so its just coming out of the end of the hose a bit.

With the mods you have told us about have you regularly had 1.2 bar boost until this issue?

Thats the problem. im not sure if it was ever going as high as 1.2 bar. Everytime boost came on i had to look at where i was going. I guess get new clips first to make sure its not leaking from the hose that was coming off today. Could well be that.

Did Jurgen have any idea how big the restrictor ring was/is?

Don't think so because he was on holiday at the time my car was being sorted. Apparently his team said they weren't 100% sure how much boost it was going up to but apparently it wasn't going over 1 bar after the restrictor ring was put in and before it was put in it was reaching 1.3 bar of boost.
