Al Massey
Ok so I fitted the ECU and went to start the car It's starts but only for a few seconds then cuts out I even swapped back and fourth with my standard ECU and the same problem So I emailed mines and got this response Allan, If the stock serial number on that VX-ROM reads 14610, it IS for a manual transmission Toyota Supra JZA80 2JZ-GE (NA) When it left our hands it was written to run on 100 RON octane rated fuel. Fuel mapping and Ignition timing optimized Speed limiter cut Rev limit +600 from stock Best Regards, So I know it is for my car So I then took the covers off and one of the components has black marks on the legs and motherboard So I'm thinking this may of blown Can these be repaired easily or do they need to be sent back to mines? Cheers Al
Graham1984
Mines wont touch it now that you have opened it as any warranty ect would be void, I may be wrong as obviously you are not after a refund ect. Did you defiantly tighten up the screw as when I installed mine I had not wound it in enough so it didn't even turn over or run??
Graham1984
The guy you brought it off didn't have a NA 6speed did he??? Other than what I suggested or what you put in your op that is about the only other thing I could think of that would affect it.
SPG
Chris Wilson has a contact who has worked on a MINES ECU, I know this because it was my ECU he repaired last year
Al Massey
Well the seals had already been broken No not after a refund just want it fixed I'm not sure what car it came out of but mines have said its for a 5 speed and what they did to the ECU I'm pretty sure I tightened the screw enough as I tried it various times Another concern of mine is that if this ECU is for a standard 5 speed n/a and I've done a bit to mine so maybe there is too much conflict? Graham1984
No chance as I have an upgraded manifold and full decat and mine works fine, minus a turbo there is not much else I could of done really.
Al Massey
I have the same plus a TT fuel pump So no chance my Thor delimiter could interfere with the speed cut programmed into the ECU? Looks like one of the components is faulty All I need now is someone who can fix it
Graham1984
I wouldn't of thought the delimiter would matter as mine was delimited before I put the mines in and everything was fine.
Al Massey
Well that's cleared that up then Cheers
Graham1984
On your op I just saw that you swapped back to your original ecu and you still have the same problem so surely that makes it a problem with the car?
Al Massey
Oh maybe I didn't make it clear enough lol When changed back to the original ECU it worked perfectly fine It was only when the new ECU was fitted which I did on numerous attempts it had the same problem
