How do you know it might only need a little work doing to it ?

Upper and lower wishbones could be on their last legs if not already in need of

replacing and that little lot will set you back more than the car cost.

Thats before you start thinking about all the other parts its probably in dire need

of that will soon add up to thousands. smic, rad, heater matrix, ac rad, calipers blah blah

You really need to look beyond the cosmetic condition of the car to assess whether its viable or not.

Paid £2.5k for my 93 TT, 3 years ago.

Spent a bloody fortune cos I didn't take advice. :(

Mostly sorted now like.

The misconception is that the mkiv is bullet proof and will do 300k

The reallity is the mkiv has a fantastic build quality and if looked after

it will do 300k but on route it will need lots of quite expensive parts

to keep it running/driving as sweetly as the day it was made.

Everything you cant see is what you need to worry about when buying a nearly

20 year old mkiv whether its a tt or na.
