WTK: Engine Build

Hey guys,

How much power can be obtained from a stock 2JZ motor? All internals stock but it has a Precision PT68 turbo, Tial 44mm wastegate, Greddy intake manifold, Q45 90mm throttle body, 550cc injectors, stock management, dual Aeromotive A1000 pumps.

Engine is mated to a built automatic transmission including shift kit, valve body, clutch kits etc etc. (supposedly built to withstand 800+hp)

(Optional upgrades - AEM standalone, 1100cc injectors)

The reason I ask is because this setup is available from a damaged car and I'm seriously considering it..(never been dynoed, the optional upgrades were bought but never installed)

Thank you in advance.

The stock engine is safe to a maximum of 560rwhp (700hp) with the auto provided the tuning is nice and safe. I think that the turbo should make that power at around 24psi.

The 550cc injectors limit engine hp to about 550hp at stock fuel pressures with more hp at higher pressures. My 2JZ-GTE fuel calculator is at http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/injectors.htm.

I'd go for the bigger injectors and the AEM to make the most of the system.
