Hi I have a 93 tt sup, the previous owner had shocks and springs out of a 98 model sup fitted, can the car be lowered on these or do I need to get coilovers on. Sorry for my ignorance I havnt a clue about suspension. Thanks:innocent:

Coilovers are the best solution then? My car looks too high at the rear

A set of CW dampeners and springs are your best solution for handling but it won't lower the car.

Coilovers for lowering with adjustable dampeners :) - (I still find this very good for handling)

Stock shocks and lowering springs such as Eibach will be fine. Been done on the forum since the beginning of time.

If the stock shocks are the black Toyota ones it may be an idea to change them at the same time to Bilsteins or something similar.

Coilovers are obviously the best choice, but at £450+ for a set you can usually find a set of shocks and lowering springs for about £200.

I have the Eibach Pro sport kit with stock dampers on my car and their fine on

both the rd and track, if you do this you will stiffen up how your car rides over

bumps and to be honest if my car was a daily driver i wouldn't do it, unless

your hardcore :)

The cheapest route you could take is simply fit a lowering spring to your dampers, the

Eibach kit is around £200 for the lowering springs.

For your referance the stock set up on a supra is a coilover.

CW can machine his dampers to let you drop the spring platform to lower the ride height.

yellow shocks will probably be bilsteins bud, they're not adjustable. There's a place off the Shore Road in Belfast called North Belfast Spring Works, it might be worth giving him a shout to see if he can do anything with your stock springs to compress them a bit.
