What tyres and wheel width

I am about to uprgrade my wheels on my supra, the previous owner has put 18x7.5 on front and back. the new wheels i have are 18x10 and 18x8.5.

Just wondered what is the standard tyre size from factory and what size tyres would you recommend for my new wheels ?

iirc the stock 17 where, 225 and the rears 245 or 255.

My stock 17" wheels had 235/45/17 front and 255/40/17 rear iirc. Might not be factory sizes but they seem to fit fine.

Similar, my stock J-Spec is as above but with 255/45/17 rear.

These are the stock sizes for the 16" and 17" wheels

Front 225 50 16

Rear 245 45 16

Front 235 45 17

Rear 255 40 17

You should use the tyre calculators to get the correct profile to keep the rolling

All very useful. i have been using a sit called willtheyfit.com , only issue with this is that it sometimes redirects you to dodgy sites which is annoying as it is a useful tool.

edit: i have just looked at the two site you uploaded links for, and will they fit combines both of the sites and also gives you a readout of speedo error at 60 + 30mph

I'm running 235/40/17 tyres on 8.5" fronts and 255/45/17 tyres on 9.5" rears. Nice sharp turn in and not jarring etc over bumps and humps.

yeh, i have bought the tyres for the rear now, i still havent purchased the fronts. ( i am having to buy two sets to make a staggered set )
