Removing Wheel Weight Adhesive

As above really chaps.

Have a spare set of wheels in very good condition and am going to get my 888s put on them.

Don't trust tyre fitters to remove the wheel weights without scratching the wheel.

Now, I have carefully removed the weights but need some advice on what to use to remove the residue of adhesive and rubber.

I can gently scrape the rubber off with a finger nail but the adhesive is not shifting. Have tried sticky stuff remover but got nowhere.

Was thinking gentle use of G3 rubbing compound or nail polish remover but not really sure.

Any advice greatly appreciated as I do not want to mess up my new wheels.

Not that it makes any difference but they are Rota Boost Drift in white and I dont want any comments about them being fragile. SteveL used these with slicks for a seasons racing with absolutely no issues and he doesn't keep away from the kerbs!

Thanks in advance.

Iv only ever used eucalyptus oil in one situation and it was not to clean wheels ;)

Good to know it has more than one use :D

Works wonders on tar, and it does not damage the paint like regular cleaners...

Sticky residue from stickers etc, it also works well..

And it just washes off...
