The best as its the easiest way is to use a matt black spray paint. The standard stuff from places like Halfords works well. Its permanent and easy to touch up. Best of all though, it works a treat, can be done in situ and dries very quickly.

I must admit, I saw a parcel shelf spray painted on That Mike Brewers show on Sky so gave it a go, it worked really well!

I dont know, since the Supra carpet has fairly thick fibers ; will spray paint not be too thick and get caught in the fibers rather than absorbed?

 

One of the guys I heard over here did his parcel shelf, looked good but faded after a few weeks. Definetly dont fancy taking to carpet out again!

 

Hopefully the Fabric spray works well,I will post some pics! The mid-night black looks really black!
