Hi, on my last Supra I uprated my Jspec brakes with a set of 3G brake disks and redstuff pads and was very impressed. Im just wondering if anyone knows if the supplier for the brake discs are still selling them as I was very impressed with them. Thanks for any help, Dean

They are in his shop on Scotts link, price rRanging from just over £200 to £224 depending on options, I would stick to OEM they are less than half the price.

Well spotted, I think I got them for £180 a pair as I just asked him for the best price he could do delivered in the UK if buying all 4.

I don't know what I would get now to be honest. I like the idea of the grooves to help stop the pads from glazing.

Quite the opposite actually ;).

Totally disagree with you there. I've always loved the 3Gs. I wouldn't think twice about getting stock, don't get me wrong, but I always like discs with the grooves in them (even though they wear pads quicker) to keep the heat down.

I wouldnt say they are significantly better but I think the UK ones would handle better than standard UK spec ones.

I favour the 3gs as well, I've had them on for a few years and haven't had any issues. I have however had 1 cracked and 2 warped oems. I know that the oems are usually bulletproof but I haven't had any luck with them. These failures have been due to sticking calipers which the 3gs have survived.

No disc needs that amount of grooves. IMO there a crappy design.

Want proper slotted discs then get stoptech or brembo OEM replacements but then again thats just me :)

Definetly not, the 3G's have been proven by numerous amounts of members to be a much needed upgrade over stock, I personally haven't heard anyone say that they thought stock disks performed better.

A much needed upgrade you say? Id like to see where people have said 'I need 3G discs cause OEM aren't good enough' :search:

Most people warp stock disc's so easily cause they don't allow them to cool off properly after abuse.

No NA but what difference does that make exactly?

If your running J spec brakes and punishing them hard then you should expect to overcome there limits.

Id happily run OEM discs on a UK brake setup with decent pads but let me guess you know for a fact 3G's are still better ;)
