Took the car for a blast and just set of for work there noticed a nice pattern of red coolant down the front of my bumper and a tiny puddle of coolant seems to be coming from the expansion bottle, any ideas on what is causing this? Rad cap need replacing ?? Thermostat need replaced?? Take it is getting to hot or something? All temps are fine not over heating etc etc.

The most obvious thing to check is the coolant level. If it's too high in the expansion bottle then that will be why it's overflowing. Next thing to check would be the rad cap, if it isn't holding enough pressure it will let too much coolant past it, overflowing the bottle. If your temps are OK and it heats up quite quickly from cold then that would suggest your thermostat is fine.

Money would be on the rad cap though.

The first thing to do is wipe off the coolant ;)

Could be the rad cap, but was the expansion tank just over full? I'd see what it's like once its completely cool again, if there is still plenty of coolant in the expansion bottle i'd not worry too much at this stage. If it's low i'd (making 100% sure its cool) take the rad cap off and look to see if it looks a bit rough.

It seems to be flowing back up to normal the expansion tank when it's actually leaked. It's the oem bottle mate.... It gets warm pretty quick inside the cabin very hot by 10 mins!! Tried eBay there but none any one kno were I could purchase a aftermarket rad cap from like Hks etc??
