Hi,

I'm Ewan from Aberdeen, I've got a GTO TT, which I've had for a number of years and I'm currently in the middle of a single turbo conversion. I'm primarily here to check out the dyno graphs and gauge how different turbos perform on Supras. Single turbos are not widely used on the GTO / 3000GT scene, so I'd like to learn how they perform on Supras. I'm currently waiting for my T3/T4 turbo to be dyno'd, once I gauge how it performs I'll probably go for a Whifbitz S366, unless I learn otherwise. I've also got a bit of soft spot for supra's, but didn't make the jump due to lack of 4WD system...

Cheers,

Ewan

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, are you sure you want to see pictures, looking at some of your engine bay's there's no way I can compete.

Welcome along! Where in Aberdeen are you based? There are a good few of us up here!

I'm in Cove, but work in Dyce

Are you swapping in a 2JZ-GTE single!?
- That would be good, but the GTO engine / gearbox is the wrong way round...

Cheers,

Ewan

Ok,

I don't know if any of you will recognise the car or not, it was originally from Essex, where the owners brother had a nice white Supra. I've also been to Crail, JAE, TOTB and other events.

Here's one, back when I was on side mount IC's

Then moved to FMIC (pic taken at French Meet):

In this form I managed to get to 442bhp on a dynodynamic RR

Anyway I managed to get a good deal on a single turbo kit off this car engine, turbo (x2), FMIC, & exhaust:

Put in my car looked like this:

Went to the dyno and the gear cables took fire, so now it looks like this:

So that is why I'm here today... to try and gain some more info on the single turbos out there... The current setup is just a bit of development, as stated above, I'm hoping to get a real T4 based turbo and see what can be achieved...

Cheers,

Ewan

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, it's very much appreciated. If I've got my car back and on the road, then I'll come along.

Is there a dyno thread here, where everyone submitt's their results? or a quick list? I'm enjoying reading the threads, but I'd like to find a proven setup.

Cheers,

Ewan
