im sure i have the manual on how to remove the engine on my harddrive back home. If you can PM me you email address i can send it to you:)

It will tell you everything you need to know.

 

Does this include instructions on putting it back again, inc torque settings etc?

 

If so, could I have a copy.

With regards to an engine lift and stand what sort of weight rated on should i go for.

They would be fine but could be bought cheaper try;

You can get cheaper stands than the one i have just put up but i find its more sturdier with the two legs.

As for the crane i've got a similar design, i bought it five years ago, and in the past couple of years i have been taking at least one V8 Engine out of a Range Rover a week, so its more than up to the job!

Its going to be next month now until im going to buy, so i will get plenty of research in before i do.

 

The other question Im going to ask is, where is the best place to get a gasket kit from. Im hoping not to split the head from the block so i dont want a head gasket, Im basically after the intake gaskets, exhausts, sump gasket etc... Im going to give the engine a complete overhaul thats if my crank isnt buggered .
