engine removal

Has any one done a walk through on how to remove the TT engine, if so could someone post me a link to it. Im after taking mine out soon so a walk through would be a good read for me at the moment.

Have a look for the NA to TT conversion guide I think it gives you what you want (in reverse)

Call me in work hours and ill talk you thru it.

You could always take the car to Dave (Supraloopy) and ask him to check the spark plugs, I am sure he will have the engine out by the afternoon

If your considering doing this get your self a copy of the workshop manual, it will show you all you need to know and gives you all the torque settings.

Does this include instructions on putting it back again, inc torque settings etc?

If so, could I have a copy.

It shows how to take the 2JZ GTE out then just do it in reveres to put it back in.

It has the torque settings to.

I have the hole manual but its for the U.S supra which is the same apart from a coupe of things

Start at the top, unplug and unbolt everything on the way down, hoik out engine

Simply reverse to reinstall, although there is one extra step - sell the leftover bits on ebay

You can get cheaper stands than the one i have just put up but i find its more sturdier with the two legs.

As for the crane i've got a similar design, i bought it five years ago, and in the past couple of years i have been taking at least one V8 Engine out of a Range Rover a week, so its more than up to the job!

Its going to be next month now until im going to buy, so i will get plenty of research in before i do.

The other question Im going to ask is, where is the best place to get a gasket kit from. Im hoping not to split the head from the block so i dont want a head gasket, Im basically after the intake gaskets, exhausts, sump gasket etc... Im going to give the engine a complete overhaul thats if my crank isnt buggered .
