Hi guys,

so its a while since we were updating our old project thread, and since we are now on a roll again on getting this car

on the road/ track, i though it would be best to make a new topic with a more "summarised" start.

Here's how the spec started out from the sale:

2JZGTE

HKS T04R Turbo (Garrett T67 (T04R))

Good for around 600+whp

T4 style inlet flange with 2.5" V-band exit, A/R: 1.00

HKS SS Manifold

HKS 60mm Wastegate with screamerpipe.

HKS Induction Filter (now replaced with an AEM 4 inch filter)

HKS M40I Super Fire Racing Plugs

Aftermarket Hi Lift Cams (still need to check this, in my eyes they seem pretty much stock)

Metal Suction Pipe (crappy thing now in the trashhhh)

Oil Cooler and Oil Filter Relocation Kit (needs re-fitting and placing it in different space)

Aftermarket Front Pipe

Titanium Exhaust System (to be replaced with our own fully custom 4 inch system)

Large Blitz Front Mounted Intercooler Kit

Trust Racing Blow Off Valve (Now replaced by a Tial Q)

Aftermarket Injectors (Red) (just 550cc sard)

ARC Rad Cap (replaced by Titek model)

Clear Front Winkers (now being re-wired properly)

Tanabe Sustec Front Strut Brace (replaced by a TRD model)

Polished Cam Covers (replaced by a new set from the UK, whilst still in the UK Lee @ SRD welded two new bungs on to fit the PHR breather system)

SUSPENSION / BRAKES / WHEELS / DRIVE

Getrag 6 Speed

HKS Multi Plate Clutch

2 Piece Front & Rear Slotted Rotors from project Mu

Aftermarket Brake Pads Project Mu

CST Zero-1 Coilovers

Rear braided Brake Lines and also on front

18" Work Emotion CR Kai Alloys ( now sold to James, being replaced by a track set of Enkei RPF 1's)

Large UK spec calipers front and back.

BODY / EXTERIOR

Late Model Headlights (HID) (now EU glass)

FRP Vented Bonnet

Top Secret Front Aero (now stock)

Top Secret Side Skirts (now stock)

Top Secret Rear Canards (now gone)

Front FRP Wide Fenders (Ridox)

Rear Fenders Folded for Clearance (re-done when it was repainted, properly done now and going to be rolled a little more soon to fir the new wheels)

Rooftip Spoiler (now gone)

INTERIOR

Momo Concept Steering Wheel

Blitz ID Power Meter (Being replaced by an HKS EVC 6)

Blitz Sequential ID Boost Controller (Being replaced by an HKS EVC 6)

Bride Drivers Bucket Seat (now gone, have two new Bride Stradia 2 low max seats in there with the low rails)

We first purchased the car in japan like so:

Taking it back from the UK, where it was imported, put on UK plates by a friend and then driven over here.

Getting prepped for new paintjob (standard Silver but with more metallic particles) gives it a little more kick/ shine.

Bonnet re-done, my bodyshop man did an awesome job, and made it metallic black with flakes of gold (in real it doesnt really show untill the sun shines straight on, so its not any boyracer overkill)

You have to see it in real to appreciate it :)

Also re-did my dash panels as they were scratched everywhere...

took me a while, but i think they look good.

Turbo was a little problem. Car was first mapped with Fcon in the UK and made 413 to the wheels and 490 on crank with about 540 ft lbs on stock engine, stock fuel system etc, just turbokit (which was already on the car)

altough i wasnt very happy with the look of the turbo, i had it checked, the guys told me the bearing was dead, and someone had run the turbo without any oil at all, resulting in a burned journal bearing...

Because the bearing was a size no longer available..and the turbo being quite awesome :) i decided to have the centre cartridge replaced by an original Garrett unit. Same size everything, just the bearing was a different size. All fully re-balanced etc.

All refreshed now and looking forward to seeing what it does with a new remap and fuel system + most probably a worked on head...

More later, seeing as we make our own exhaust systems custom for any car, here are the parts we will be using for our supra

all 4 inch stainless:

Now, we sold the CR Kai's to a forum member on here, after having them coated and refurbed to perfection.

We came across a project from one of our Australian forum friends who had a nice choice of track wheels,

seeing i had the same front fenders as him, i decided to go with these also, and another reason: because we are also going for some track time this year...

Here's a picture from the Gorrilla industries Supra, with Enkei RPF1's in matte black, ours will be coated a slightly different black/ dark color when they arrive.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-dg2AG_lJZYY/TxeMQ1elUJI/AAAAAAAADvY/1HkiZmIlOlk/s800/5602711080_ccdc61af67_b.jpg

I will be fitting slightly smaller tyres than him though, Kumho V70a semi's in 305 rear and 265 fronts.

Also, we have a Koyo radiator on the way (large size) + Tial Q and Mishimoto fan shroud kit.

Paul is also providing me a whifbitz upper rad pipe.

Plans are that i will probably go for the SRD billett lower waterneck too.

Enkei wheels have been cancelled, US importer was keeping me on a leash and kept lying to us for about 3 months.

So beware people, DO NOT ORDER ENKEI FROM THE STATES OR US IMPORTER PEAK PERFORMANCE... bunch of amateurs.

We managed to cancel them, which means they had not ordered them at all (probably waiting till they have a larger amount of orders).
