I was looking at this yesterday and tried to enquire about a Supra only Club day. I saw the Saab club has a club day there. It's for charity so dont see why not.. I'm waiting for Sgt Denmin (ext: 6043) to call be back re this. It would be great but not sure if I will be able to attend.. They now have to implement a noise limit to reduce impact on local residential areas. No unsilenced exhaust systems will be permitted. A noise limit of 105 dB will be enforced (measured at 0.5m and 45 degree angle from exhaust exit at 2/3 of max rpm). Cars exceeding this limit will not be permitted on track. I have a screemer so might need to plumb it back into the system..

I know Sgt Denman, as I used to help out on the trackdays there and I used to be the forum rep here. But stopped doing it due to lack of interest from the forum.

Do you think it's worth trying again? Maybe we can see who would be interested in a Super Supra day at RAF Marham..

the forum hasnt gone for the last few years, and to be honest, I dont think you'll get enough people interested to run it. Only possible way if you open it up to other forums, say Mk3 supras owner club and the like.

I would be interested in this myself as im back from ooa in march and hopefully have my project finished in time. Whats the accommodation like at Marham for booking on for the weekend? Last I heard a few years back was that they didnt have much going.

the do have some, just "not that" good ;)

Mate they cant be any worse than the 540 blocks at Brize. Not sure if those blocks are even there any more but they were awful. Im not going to complain if I can get some free accommodation for the weekend though and be on the doorstep to the main event. Is that where you are posted at the moment mate?

Dear all,

Regrettably, due to operational requirements, the track weekend scheduled for 28-29th April 2012 has been postponed until May 2012. The date will be confirmed next week but is likely to be 26-27th May. We will be refunding all payments made over the next few days and we'll open registration for the new dates as soon as this has been completed and the new dates confirmed. We felt that this was the best option rather than cancelling all together. The price for the event in May will be discounted as a gesture of goodwill. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused any of you. If you have any problems, please get in touch with us via the details on the contacts page of the website.

We thank you all for your continued loyalty, support and patience. Despite this busy period for operations at RAF Marham we're determined to hold this event!

We hope to see you all in May.

Regards

Track Day Team
