Graham1984 Posted January 7, 2012 Share Posted January 7, 2012 Had a look around and couldn't find a answer (Sorry if there is one) but is there any set way to check the inlet valve is opening correctly or even a cleaning option just if it is getting stuck, Possibly a retarded question but seeing as my knowledge is based around car needs petrol,insurance and tax and that I know sod all else I feel justified asking. Graham1984 Posted January 8, 2012 Author Share Posted January 8, 2012 There is still the kick at around 4.5k rmp but It still feel somewhat less sharp and delayed, I thought I would just check to see if there was any dirt or usual crap making it stick. I changed the spark plugs and oil /filter the other day and will have to change the air/fuel filter as soon as I can but was just wondering if there was anything else worth checking. Chris Wilson Posted January 8, 2012 Share Posted January 8, 2012 Stick a piece of card under the stop screw and see if it falls out on a run, or do something more elegant with a piece of stiff wire and a sliding ring that moves along the wire, but stays put when the valve closes again, so you can see it's fully opening.
