I drive mine daily and get a few comments from people both positive and negative, some saying I love it and stopping for a chat to others shouting drug dealer, scrapper, I'm going to nick it etc but what do you think the general public thinks of a Supra owner?

You really get that? I don't think I have ever heard anything like that throughout the entire time I have owned a Supra. My last Supra used to turn heads and got some nice comments (at petrol stations etc). My current supra doesn't really get any attention :-(

I was meant to post up about a security guard at British Aerospace in Preston. I had to go and pick up a parcel a couple of weeks ago and decided to take the Supe for a quick run up the motorway. As I pulled up at the security hut the guy came dashing out and did a full lap of the car. I wound the window down and they guy was really excited saying it was the nicest car he had seen coming on site.

He was asking all sorts of questions and eventually let me in without a pass as I was only nipping to some cabins 100 yards away. When I go in the Audi I have always been issued with a pass, no matter what.

Never had a negative comment or I would have gone bananas..!!

I've had stick from a few people about it being a non-turbo, heard a few by passers say `its only an NA` a few times but that's all anyone could really say. It's got such a visible road stance people who don't own one think people must buy them just for that reason, forgetting how nice they feel to drive and look.

I've never had anything bad said about the car but on the first week of owning it I was at a junction and a motorcyclist pulled up on my off side looked down and shook his head. To that I leaned out looked him up and down and said "I'm not the one dressed like a power ranger". With that he turned away and sped off. No other negative comments.

On my road I often get asked about my car from random people walking by.

Never had anything negative said. Never had anything positive said (by strangers) either.

The only people that seem to look/take an interest/double take are chavs and little kids.

In fact, the best I've had is when I drove past the primary school down the road and a little boy was walking past with his Mum as I stopped. I had the window down and heard him say "Mummy, Mummy, that's the car I want when I'm older! It's my car!". That was cool.

I got called a "pikey" once, until I got out in a suit! I don't think everyone gets the car, particularly when CHAVs spend so much time trying to make their Ford Escort look like a Supra.

I always get good comments were ever I take the supra however recently everyone is saying its getting dated looking (red rag to a bull) I go nuts at them and start the whole big speech as to it's 18 years old and still looks modern against every other car around, and then generally go off on a massive rant lol

However the best compliment is when your parked in a petrol station beside a body kitted supra and everyone is looking at my oem style quicker :)

Escort Supra Spoilers are the nuts. I've seen a few local ones... What were they thinking!

Allways been given a big thumbs up except for one guy. He needed to MOT my car and said it was definitly not his taste and started asking weird, slightly inproper questions about my well beloved supe. After he put some MOT on my car i seen him step in his pre historic fiat ducato all covered in rust and was like, yup... definitly jelous.

In fact ive been given so manny thumbs up and chats it starts to get anoying because everywhere i stop and get out of the car people

walk to me and start asking all kinds of things which usualy takes anywhere in between 10 to 20 mins...

The first week i got my car i stopped on an empty parking lot @ mcdonalds and people were running outside with their phone camera's on.

That was the first time i felt slightly uncomfortable about it because im more of a background person that doesnt like the spotlights.

Everyone has a different opinion imo, luckily the supe goes very well into the positive section of these opinions :p.

People have asked me what it is at petrol stations, which is weird when you can see the Toyota and Supra badge on the back.

I've had kids jump up and down on the pavement when stuck in traffic excited about it - just as I did as a kid to Lambos & Porsches

A few offers from ladies to take them out for a drive

And before when doing a few WOT pulls on the motorway got the thumbs up from a pack of bikers going down the same stretch

A guy with a nice R8 GT when I parked up next to him said he loves Supras.

Guess you get different reactions from where you are, guess you've got a bunch of negative people in NI!

I had a girl racer in a (horribly modified) Fiat Punto pull up alongside me and lick her finger. My missus wasn't over impressed with that one. Same day, I'd gone for some petrol, and the most scouse bloke in the world said "Boss car that lad".

I wanted to move to Florida straightaway.

Then you'll just have huge black blokes trying to sell you blow. Or that's what happens down at Miami beach.

That and you'll becoming an enormous bloater as there's no bloomin pavements!

And over there a Supra is a rich man's car :( Too rich for me anyway.

Drove a Viper down Miami beach, I can appreciate what you're saying, but I'm looking at Bradenton/Tampa or possibly Orlando 32837.

My Supra might well be going with me ;)
