heres a couple of photos

reason im asking is because the guy in karpartz wants me to show him a photo of the pads

instead of me taking the pad out is there any photos about of a uk spec rear pad?

carnt be doing that untill after new year mate, just want some normal pads for now, maybe this has soemthing to do with my problem as they were on metal

You might well be needing new discs as well then.

Also, I'd not fancy driving with Jap fronts and UK rears, the braking balance will be all out.

Fit Toyota pads and discs :)

I can get those for you at a good price just let me know, you have my mobile number :)

Check the calipers are ok first, it could be down to failing outer

seals causing the pistons to start to seize !!

Infact if their 17 yr old calipers and havent been refurbed i'll bet a round of

drinks they will need doing :)

Pop the pads out and have a good look and ease the pistons back into the caliper, if

their really hard to push back then i'd suggest an overhaul is due

I would seriously consider buying a set of 2nd hand jspec rears until you can get a set of UK spec fronts. The brake balance will be miles out bud and the one thing you REALLY don't want to have is the back locking up before the front. Having small fronts and large rears is just plain dangerous.

This. Balance them up with either JSpec rears or a set of UK fronts.

ESPECIALLY in this weather, where tyres will lock easier.

hey guys

had to rush out and pay for the pads so didnt read the messages

cost £35 for pads on the rear and looks like ill have to get front uk calipers then too

wont be untill after new year and im not driving the car now anyway so will be fine untill after that

i take it the front discs will be different too then? so if upgrading the front to uk spec i would need new uk discs?

Yeah, you'll also need to cut off your dust shields if they haven't been removed already (Thinking that maybe the previous owner took the front UKs off to sell or something?).
