I was searching for a new supra online and came accross a few weird and odd looking examples. That made me wonder............should there be a "gentleman's agreement" or a code of conduct for it :S now i know it's not really possible, but still..............

have a look at this for example...............

Do look after it.

Do treat it with respect.

Do treat it with extra respect in the rain.

Do maintain it properly

Don't use cheap parts

Don't use non-specialists

Don't put Veilside on with flip paint jobs

Don't put the wrong wheels on.

More often that not, with a road-going Supra, less is more. It's a classic shape that still works today.

DO NOT think that modifying a supra is a must! a nice clean stock examples stands out as well :)

You can't enforce taste unfortunately. Both my cars have been kitted with non stock wheels but tastefully IMO. I see some really awful Supras and wonder what the owner was thinking when he modded it or purchased it.

I'm not the only one who thinks that then! Some of them really make me stratch my head.

Disagree :sly:

Dont flush a kit into bodywork

Dont have vinyl dragons up the side

Dont fit chargespeed spoilers

Dont paint it orange

Dont bling the engine

Do keep stock spoiler

Do choose the right aftermarket colour

Do waste all your wages in the first week on the supra and live like a tramp till next pay cheque

Everyone to their own and all that but there are certain cars that I wouldn't get in even if it was raining golf balls.

It'd be nice to be able to post anonymously sometimes, as there are some cars that look awful, but no one wants to hurt the owner's feelings and be seen to be doing so.

true say. But it also hurts when someone walks up to you and says "oh, is this a supra? "YES, you reply" and he says "I once saw a really ugly one with blah blah blah mods on it"
